Samplitude/Sequoia 11.1 customization.

V12 Proposed menu structure can be loaded in System_Options/Keyboard_Menu. In Shortcut Editor click upper load button and load the menu settings from /Customize/Menu v12 Proposal.men

Option Administration: INI Patches is a collection of useful ini-settings in a folder called "Customize"

To load, use "Load" button in option administration, short info text is displayed with buttons to apply or reset option. INZ-Files can be used with Drag'n'Drop into the program window.

Samplitude 11 ".ini" tweaks...

Alternate Color tool setup.  This changes it to have the left mouse button change the object background, and the Right mouse button changes the foreground or wave form image of the object.  This replace the standard of the Left button changing the background and wave form into a gradient of the back ground.

-In the folder for the skin you are using for the VIP (Samplitude/Bitmaps/Canis) open the VIP.ini and seek and find "usev11coloring=1" and change it to "usev11coloring=0"

***

To Scale the track volume automation with the vip fader, just add the line to the Samplitude or Sequoia ini file under Factors:

ScaleVolumePanAutomationInReadMode=2

UAD cards and Multi cpu/core systems - Windows XP

Windows 7 32bit and 64bit does not need restricting of the cores and multi-core support is working great, upgrade to W7

CPU restriction for Samplitude version 10 and 11 up until version 11.1

DO NOT SET 11.1 to restrict to single cpu, it is not needed in ver 11.1 and up. Also I am still having problems in my 4 core system, setting version 11.1 to use more than 2 cores cleanly in Windows XP sp3. You may need to disable multi-core use in Samplitude's system options/performance

Using UAD-1/2 with Samplitude in a MultiCPU environment.

Restrict UAD Plugins to 1 CPU.   Not all systems for an unknown reason automatically restrict all UAD plugs by simply restricting one plugin, so this fix is needed.

The fast way to restrict all your UAD plugs without having to open each one separately.

1.   Open a VIP in Sam, then load a UAD plugin (1176LN). Restrict the 1176LN by open the plugin, click on the Plugin dialog (menu) at the top of the plugin interface, and then Permanent option >restrict to 1 cpu. Now all 1176LN used in SAM from then on will be restricted to 1 cpu., then close Sam.

See picture (click to enlarge)...then...

2.   Open the VSTplugin.ini file (in the SAM folder, double click to open it on notepad)

3.   Replace the 0 (zero) ...dll",0,"UAD... with 131072 as I did in the picture. NOTE - This 131072 number should be found in the 1176LN listing already because you restricted it already. IF your number for a restricted plug is different use it. Do this for every UAD plugin as I have in the picture.

4.   Replace in every line the 0 with this number. Do this to all UAD plugs listed in the VSTplugin.ini file, then save the file.

5.   Open Sam and a vip, load a UAD plug and check to make sure it is now showing restricted just as the 1176 does.

This is what I did and worked great here and was much faster then opening each plug manually. Paste the number in...
