We have a very eclectic clientele, capturing the right performance with the right set of tools is crucial. Whatever the artist can think it up, its our job to capture it. E clectica Studios officially opened its doors in August of 2000, based on the realization that there was a need for an affordable yet top quality studio in the Inland Empire area of Southern California. Tim has always had his own project studio, but decided to expand the relaxed and inspirational setting to other artists, musicians, and clients.
Tim and Angela Dolbear, owners and operators of Eclectica Studios, have a lifetime of experience embedded into their business. They have quite a diverse range of clientele, both local and far. In the first two years, 18 national and international releases have come through their hands. Other works in these first two years include digital editing and master on a wide scale of material, such as a 30-minute weekly radio show, music edits and remixes for dance competition, spoken word and corporate multimedia presentations. The studios quality and professionalism has attracted business editors from the Los Angeles Times and Inland Empire Daily Bulletin. "Dolbear's engineering skills are praised by those who have worked with him. His studio is great. He's got everything you want as far as fixing things up or fixing mistakes. He's very professional, very quick and doesn't fool around, said Mike Gleeson [singer and guitarist from Innisfree, an international Irish folk band]."-April 2002, feature article in the Los Angeles Times Business section "These days, singer Meliesa says she won't record anywhere else. I could have my choice of a lot of studios near where I live, but I'd rather drive the hour and 20 minutes, from San Diego to record with him."-January 2002, feature article in the Inland Empires Daily Bulletins Business section Projects that Tim is hired on to produce, he is involved with every aspect of the project: from the songs, the arrangements, the equipment and sound, scheduling, to making sure the project comes in on time and on budget. He has worked with musicians his whole life and he understands them -- their personalities, egos, and the direction they are coming from.Tim engineers all projects at the studio and has producers credits on a wide range of projects. He began his engineering experience at a young age in studios around Los Angeles producing his own original material while performing his own music, and has played back-up on guitar for many top professionals, Sammy Hagar, Tim Bogart, Billy Sheehan, to name a few. His studio experience blossomed after interning and working with legendary producer Keith Olsen in 1999-2000.
For the last six years, Tim has engineered well over a hundred, 2,500-seat shows for Miller Sound. Past shows have been from diverse genres, such as Big Band, rock, orchestral, Tijuana, Mariachi, jazz, Caribbean, reggae. His skills are built on his ability to understand sound and acoustics. Tim and Angela Dolbear have received
national airplay with their first two CD releases of original music, "Leap of
Faith" in 1998, and "Change" in 2000. Currently, Tim
and Angela are the main driving force behind the original group "child of the
Son," in addition to working in the studio. Their first CD, titled
"Never Been to Memphis," was released January 2004, and is currently available
on Amazon.com.
They have also written and published articles for highly regarded international recording and sound industry magazines. Articles
