A Commanding Presence With A Collection of

Passionate Coolness

Calm, cool, collected. One music writer even compared his natural coolness to Sinatra. I know, it’s a bit of a stretch, but it’s still a huge honor. Maybe it’s because both artists have such incredible blue eyes...

Tim’s second album titled “Change” exemplifies the intense passion of its creator. Tim put as much blood and sweat into the recording of this album as he does into performing live shows. Just one listen to the CD demonstrates this. See our Artist Page for details on how to get a copy of this and other dlb Music releases. Click Here for a sample of his music.

Kati St. James, music critic of Night Moves magazine, poignantly described Tim’s music as a mixture of 70’s and 80’s instrument and vocal influences perfectly propelled into the 2000’s.

“It’s a little melodic, a little alternative and a lot UNLIKE what is getting stale today,” St, James wrote in a review of Tim’s first album.

“There is no other male performer like me,” Tim explains. “In my music I strive to be more like a male version of Melissa Etheridge.”

Performing live has been a part of Tim’s life since he was 15 years old, playing lead guitar in rock bands in clubs across Southern California. Years later, he would find himself on stage performing with many industry heavyweights including backing-up Sammy Hagar at his Cabo Wabo club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Experience has proved to be the best teacher for Tim Dolbear. His many years of writing and performing music have steered him to the acoustic rock genre of music that is the most complimentary to his style of writing. With his acoustic music, Tim became involved with the National Academy of Songwriters (NAS), and the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP). a recording artist.

His sound is all his own. Several of his songs have received radio airplay nation wide for their unique sound and style. Fans of Melissa Etheridge, Lyle Lovett, Indigo Girls and Bonnie Raitt will feel right at home with Tim’s music.

As the saying goes, seeing is believing, but so is hearing. The dichotomy of Tim’s passionate coolness is the part of his musical character that sets him apart from the rest. With a commanding stage presence and performance, and an outstanding collection of songs, Tim Dolbear will soon take his place at the front of the line in the music world.

Currently Tim is working on his third release for Eclectica Recordings along side of  his wife and co-writer of his second CD "Change", Angela Dolbear.   To here a sample "Click here"
